North Korea fires ballistic missile
North Korea has fired a ballistic missile in the Sea of Japan. It was first such test since Donald Trump took office as US president. According to South Korea’s military the test was likely of an intermediate-range Musudan-class missile which is designed to fly up to 3,000-4,000 and not an Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM). It was launched from an area called Panghyon in North Korea’s western region and flew about 500 km. It had reached an altitude of about 550 km.
