India and Japan to enhance cooperation in tourism sector
India and Japan have decided to strengthen cooperation in tourism sector. Both the nations will identify areas for collaboration and explore new avenues in tourism sector especially in the sphere of human resource development, exchange of tour operators, investment in the tourism sector and exchange of information related to tourism sector. Both the countries also discussed the possibility of signing a MoU (Memorandum of Understanding).
In case of inbound tourism Japan is among the top ten tourist generating markets for Indi. Japanese tourists have a strong interest in places associated with Buddhism in India.
