Nicolas Maduro declared president-elect Venezuela

image Nicolás Maduro Moros, the acting President of Venezuela after the death of late leader Hugo Chavez has been declared as the winner of a special election held in Venezuela for the post of the President. The results of the election have triggered protests and there is a demand for recount by the opposition.

Moros was formerly the Vice President of Venezuela and the Minister of Foreign Affairs under President Hugo Chávez. The constitutionality of his election to the office of President has been questioned by the opposition.Venezuela’s acting President Nicolas Maduro was proclaimed the winner of an election to succeed late leader Hugo Chavez triggering protests as the opposition demanded a recount.
