India’s AI-enabled MyGov Corona Helpdesk bagged two awards at CogX 2020

Technical partners of MyGov Corona Helpdesk- JioHaptik Technologies Limited were awarded two awards for their AI (Artificial Intelligence) enabled technology solution at the virtual Global Leadership Summit and Festival of AI & Emerging Technology, CogX 2020.

The awards won are under following categories:

  1. Best Innovation for COVID-19-Society
  2. People’s Choice Covid-19 Overall Winner

AI-enabled MyGov Corona Helpdesk

In a record span of 5 days, the AI-enabled MyGov Corona Helpdesk was developed to fight against the Covid-19 pandemic. The platform was developed after collaboration between the teams of MyGov, WhatsApp, and JioHaptik Technologies Limited.

The AI-enabled platform is a chatbox that has been helping the citizens of India to get the latest information related to COVID-19. The platform has processed more than 41 million (4.1 crores) conversations to date, also has received above 76 million (7.6 crores) messages. More than 28 million have accessed the platform to date.


CogX is held annually in London, United Kingdom. It is one of the largest events in AI in the world. The Awards under the CogX event are awarded to the best-of-best emerging technologies in AI across the world. The first CogX event was held in the year 2017. As the impact of AI has increased significantly over the last couple of years, the event has become one of the largest events in the world with more than 15,000 participants in attendance.

Among hundreds of AI solution based entries that were able to make a difference to the society during the COVID-19 pandemic, JioHaptik Technologies Limited’s AI-enabled solution for MyGov Corona Helpdesk was chosen as the winner.

IM Vijayan recommended for Padmashri

The All India Football Federation recently recommended the former Indian Captain IM Vijayan for the fourth highest civilian award in India, the Padmashri.


IM Vijayan has scored 40 goals in over 79 matches. He won the Arjuna award in 2003. Also, in 1993, 1997 and in 1999 he was awarded the best Indian “Player of the year”.


PAdmashri is the fourth highest civilian award in India. The other three highest civilian awards include Bharat Ratna, PAdma Vibhushan and Padma Bhushan. The awards are presented by the President of India during Republic Day celebrations of the country.

The Padma Awards are being awarded to the citizens since 1954. The awards are being presented under the categories such as medicine, education, sports, literature, industry, public affairs, social service.

As of 2020, around 3,123 people have received the award.
