Book chronicling Vice President Naidu’s 2 years in office released

The book titled ‘Listening, Learning and Leading’, based on M. Venkaiah Naidu’s two years in office as Vice President of India was launched by Union Minister for Home Affairs, Amit Shah in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The function was hosted by Union Minister of Information and Broadcasting Prakash Javadekar.

About ‘Listening, Learning, and Leading’ Book

The book captures glimpses of Vice President’s 330 public engagements across all states and Union Territories of the country during last two year period.

As of now, Vice-President M. Venkaiah Naidu has delivered 61 convocation addresses, interacted with students on 35 occasions, delivered 25 special lectures and visited 97 scientific and technological research institutions throughout length and breadth of country.

The book chronicling M K Naidu’s two years in office contains Naidu’s important diplomatic engagements, including his visits to 19 countries, in 4 continents.

It showcases his achievements as Rajya Sabha Chairman and initiatives taken by him to enhance effectiveness and promote efficiency of Upper House.

He is 1st Indian vice-president to visit Panama, Guatemala, Costa Rica, and Malta.

Shah Rukh Khan awarded Excellence in Cinema award at Indian Film Festival of Melbourne

Indian Bollywood Superstar Shah Rukh Khan was felicitated with ‘Excellence in Cinema’ honour at Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM) 2019. He was felicitated at iconic Palais Theatre in Melbourne, which is one of city’s heritage landmarks.

Shah Rukh Khan was also the chief guest at IIFM.

He was presented with the award by Linda Dessau, who is 1st female Governor of State of Victoria.

Festival paid tribute to actor’s continuous contribution to cinema and popular culture in India with award.

Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM)

The festival will take place in between August 8 and August 15 and is organized by Victorian government, Australia.

The year 2019 marks 10th edition of the festival in the cultural city of Australia.

IIFM 2019 was celebrated with its central theme as “courage”.

During the festival more than 60 films from all across India and subcontinent in over 22 languages will be screened.
