Delhi Cabinet approves bill to setup India’s first Sports University
The Delhi Cabinet on 3rd October, 2019, approved the bill to set up India’s first Sports University. It will offer graduation, post-graduation and doctorate degrees in hockey, football and cricket. The announcement was made by the CM Kejriwal. He said the university is to come up in 90 acres of land.
The University will act as State University. It will also have a full-fledged Delhi Sports school affiliated to CBSE.
The curriculum of the university is still in the idealization process. It will be developed after deliberations with the experts.
