“Manodarpan” initiative to be launched by Ministry of HRD
On July 21, 2020, Ministry of Human Resources and Development will launch “Manodarpan” initiative under Atma Nirbhar Bharat Abhiyan. The initiative is being launched to provide psychosocial support to the students for their mental well being.
The Ministry of Human Resources and Development believes that it is essential to provide focus on mental health of the students along with academic importance. This will help to strengthen human capital base in the country. Also, the initiative will increase overall productivity of working-age population in the country.
Atma Nirbhar Bharat Abhiyan
The programme aims to make India self-reliant. In order to achieve this, GoI has allocated Rs 20 lakh crores. The fund allocated is to be used in sectors that will make India, self-reliant. This includes Agriculture, MSME, fisheries, animal husbandry, diary industry, etc.
How will Manodarpan help in Atma Nirbhar Bharat Abhiyan?
For India to become self-reliant, the work force should be strong and highly skilled. Through the initiative, India will strengthen its future work force, especially during COVID-19 times. Students should be kept motivated and focused towards education. They are the backbone of skills of future India. Thus, the initiative will help the country become self-reliant.
