India and Pakistan army hold flag meeting on LoC in Poonch

image The commanders of the armies of Indian and Pakistan held a flag meeting at Chakan da Bagh in Poonch district along the Line of Control (LoC) in Kashmir. The meet was held in the backdrop of ongoing tension b/w the armies of both sides. The tension had escalated after Pakistani soldiers brutally killed two Indian soldiers. Both sides accused other of violating the ceasefire. The Indian Army voiced concern at the violation of the ceasefire by Pakistani troops and the mutilation of the bodies of two soldiers killed in Pakistani firing and one of the bodies was beheaded. The Indian Army also asked for the severed head to be returned.

MoU inked b/w India and Vietnam to bolster MSMEs

imageIndia and Vietnam inked an MoU targeted at building capacity for  developing institutional framework and identifying key areas and opportunities for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in India.

It also seeks to promote partnership projects and institutional collaboration b/w the two nations, organising exhibitions and trade fairs for marketing the products of MSMEs, exchange of business missions to begin transfer of technology and business alliance, and providing training for improvement of managerial and technical skills for MSMEs. The agreement is part of efforts towards enhancing bilateral economic cooperation. Both nations have set a trade and investment target of $7 billion by 2015.
