Ajay Jayaram wins 2015 Dutch Open Grand Prix Badminton tournament

Ace Indian shuttler, Ajay Jayaram has won the 50000 dollar 2015 Dutch Open Grand Prix badminton tournament.

In the title clash played at Almere in Netherlands, Jayaram defeated Estonia’s Raul Must by 21-12, 21-18 score. With this victory he deafened this title which he had won earlier in 2014.

In October 2014, Jayaram had won his maiden Dutch Open GP title and was the first Indian to win badminton Grand Prix tournament under the new 11×5 scoring system.

This is second achievement of him in this season after he had won silver medal in 2015 Korea Open Badminton tournament in Men’s singles category.

Earlier, Jayaram has won 3 international badminton titles namely New Zealand Open (2009), Thailand Open (2010) and Czech Open (2013).

Ajay Jayaram wins silver medal in 2015 Korea Open Badminton tournament

India’s Ajay Jayaram has won silver medal in 2015 Korea Open Badminton tournament in the Men’s singles category.

In the final match played at Seoul, he lost to World no. one Cheng Long of China by 14-21, 12-21 score settling to silver medal.

With this Ajay Jayaram became first Indian badminton player to win a medal in Korea Open Badminton tournament.

It was Cheng Long’s sixth trophy of the season and second Korea Open Badminton tournament after he had won in 2014.

Ajay Jayaram is currently ranked 32nd in the world. Earlier in the Korea Open tournament, he had defeated Viktor Axelsen of Denmark and Chou Tien Chen of Chinese Taipei on his way to the Final.
