The laboratory set up to test the PPEs was accredited by the NABL (National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories). A Unique Certification Code has been passed to test the samples submitted by the manufacturers of PPEs. The UCC has been uploaded in all official websites such as Ordnance Factory Board, DRDO (Defence Research Development Organization).
Synthetic Blood Testing Equipment
The Equipment tests the resistance of the PPE (masks, covers, etc) to penetration of synthetic blood under different levels of pressure.
Textiles Committee was established in 1963 to ensure quality of textiles. The committee tests the machineries both for usage within India and export purpose as well. It also provides inspection besides its main objective of quality of textiles.
